This edition of the National Occupational Standards for Cosmetology and Beauty Therapy was developed by the Federal Ministry of Education and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). Its development was funded by The World Bank's Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project, signifying a collaborative effort to enhance vocational training in the country.The intended purpose of this National Occupational Standard is to set clear benchmarks for the knowledge, understanding, and practical skills required by professionals in the cosmetology and beauty therapy industry.
